Nothing beats Dutch tap water

Tap water in the Netherlands is of extremely high quality, this is due to the natural Filtration process that is apllied to clean the water, resulting in a very low amount of chemicals (like chlorine) being used. The beauty of this Filtration process, which makes use of the natural Filter qualitiesof Dutch dune-sand, is easily forgotten.

The handmade ceramic cups and water jug are a result of a research into the filtering properties of dune sand. The objects showcase how contamination is captured in a sand filter through the use of pigments. They act as a reminder of the remarkable way our tap water is produced. The set can be used at home or in restaurants to nicely present tap water as you would with other beverages. This would replace serving bottled spring water that has been shipped half-way across the globe. Thereby granting Dutch tap water the appreciation it deserves.
